Hello, my name is Julie Flavell, I am the Secretary and a Trustee of WELCOME.
I have been working with the children in Egypt for over 10 years now and am truly blessed to be able to call them not only my friends but my extended family.
I am never as happy and at peace as when I am in Egypt.
Hi, I’m Peter Wilson and I have the honour of being Chairman of WELCOME and have been involved with the work in Egypt for 5 years.
Every year has been nothing but inspirational for me, changing my life, for the better, in so many ways
I urge you to get involved with these beautiful people. If you already are then THANK YOU!
Treasurer for the Charity. ‘When I first visited Egypt I expected to be impressed by historical sites and artefacts. Impressive as those things are, my overwhelming memory of that visit is the warmth of the people I met and their generosity of spirit. I think of my life as working, learning, playing and giving. Supporting Welcome St Georges is a really important part of the giving’.
My name is Bill (Bilbo) I am 62 (so age isn't a problem) and have been to Egypt to support the children 4 times and it is a rewarding time. The joy on their faces where help is needed is remarkable. It isn't so much what you do for them but what they do for you. To see these children taken from the village where rubbish is their home to a camp near the Red Sea is amazing. They have freedom.
Hello, my name is Sharon (often called Shazza) and I am new to the group.
I believe that I am being led by God to serve him in a new and exciting way.
My name is Nicola Doherty. All I can tell you is that
I never feel as happy, alive and rewarded as when I am sharing time with the children at the Summer Camp and that is why I go time and time again.
